(May 8, 2010) Welcome to the home of LymeRunner. I’m busy trying to get this site where I want it to be; full of information about what LymeRunner is, what I’m doing and why.

The Basics:

In 2007 I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I went from being a capable athlete to an invalid. The support of the conventional medical community was limited. I sought alternative therapy and after a year and a half battle, was able to regain most of my old abilities. You can read the whole story here until I can update this page: http://blog.angelacoulombe.com/living-with-lyme/living-with-lyme-my-story/. As a result, I have done two things:

1. Started a group called Lymebuddies (http://www.lymebuddies.com) to give support and advice to those with Lyme Disease

2: Decided to train to run the ING NYC Marathon this November 7, 2010

The New York City Marathon, November 7, 2010:

To raise awareness of long-term lyme disease, I entered the NYC Marathon and I GOT IN!!!! I am in training for this event now to ensure I can actually do it and do it without any further injury to myself.

This site will act as my blog about the training, my thoughts on Lyme Disease, stories from other about Lyme Disease and their experiences, etc.

Please check back for more details as I put more information up.
